This is my first somewhat sucsessfull gilding attempt, tho it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. It's sillver leaf of Gum Amoniac sieze. The paper, i fugured out when the versal was done, was near imporrible to write on, so don't judge the writing to harshly please. I'm not sure yet if I should add some more colour to it or not, but considering all I'm quite happy how it turned out anyway.

In my humble opinion, It would look better if the first letter was painted in other colour ;)

Thank you! Do you mean the outline? or should I fill out the background? I too think that there should be some colour in it, but I'm not entierly sure where.

This turned out really well. I don't think colour is necessary, it all fits as it is, but I guess it depends what kind of effect you want to get. I really like that alphabet, do you have it written out somewhere? I'd like to try it :)

Thank you! We'll see about colour, maby I'll just make another one :) . Do you mean the versal alphabet? I haven't written it out, but I suppose I could... The other one is just regular gothic textura, if that was the one you meant. I have that one floating around here somewhere...

Here; [link] , it is. tho I do it slightly different every time :) . There are so many different kind's of gothic, and besides that every writer has their own way of writing them.

I don't think this piece needs any colouration, it looks coute the way it is. The "silvering" turned out well, I like it really. So, I am curious to see your next piece including gilding techniques!
